Dear Students,

This is my last announcement for the Course. It happened so my son fell down with flu yesterday and I could not come today. I know it was supposed to be an interesting class where you would share all important things about learning vocabulary this year and where we would sum up our strengths in the end. Yet, the only way I could manage it was to kindly ask Olga Olexandrivna to annouce the final grade. I know she did.

I do not know what was your reaction and whether you liked the results of the lengthy mathematical calculations. But I'm absolutely proud of your resounding success. You have gone from strength to strength and never stepped aside. You have been creative and passionate. You have been funny and serious. You have been quick-witted and considerate. You have been been open to making breakthroughs since the very first class. Throughout the Course, you have shown how gifted, responsible, dedicated, and compassionate people at 18 can be! And you have clinched the victory. It has ALWAYS been a pleasure to work with you. Hope, knowledge of vocabulary will help you tackle even the trickiest problems on the way forward!

If you still have questions regarding the rating or partcilar test results, please write me at antidote1983@gmail.com. I will gladly help resolve any arising questions. And...I'm willing to see your PowerPoints posted at your vocabulary blogs asap. Perhaps, as your last blog assignment this year ;).

Kind regards,
T.O.

Dear Students,

In your post for the class on Tuesday, February 17, 2014, you were requested to create a 250 word blog post where you had to compare freelancing with working in teams and think which of them was more suitable for you (with the use of 25 active vocabulary words).

For the next class, please post a blog entry where you will discuss whether you are good at looking after your money and whether you create a personal budget. Please, use 25 words from the units 47 and 48 in the blog entry of 200 words.

Good luck!

Dear Students!

This is just a reminder that the blog entry is to be submitted by the next class. The blog entry is to present a comparison of two newspaper or magazine articles which represent different views of one celebrity. The blog entry should use at least 25 words from the vocabulary in Units 40-41 Oxford Word Skills Advanced. Suggested length – 200-250 words. Please, do not forget to mention the sources used for this task.

Good luck!
